Straight from my Grandmother's old Hotpoint refrigerato, it was the ice make of the day and it had an unmistakable crunch as the metal separated from the ice as the lever was pulled to release the individual cubes.

Mamaw's Old Butter Churn

In the country people had cows.. Milk from cows was separated into milk and cream. Some of the cream was placed a glass jar with this beater attached to transform it into sweet cream butter.
